Since March of 2006, "Heart of the Matter" has been broadcast live from the capital of Mormonism, Salt Lake City, Utah. Each week, its host, Shawn McCraney contrasts Biblical truth with Mormon doctrine. The show is seen all over the world by virtue of dish, cable, streaming video, internet archives, and Youtube video segments. HISTORY

It started with a road-side conversion - the spiritual rebirth of an active Mormon man living in Southern California. That was 1997. Then came the book, a website, and an invitation for author Shawn McCraney to be a guest on a Christian television program taped in Salt Lake City, Utah.

"The response to the interview was so overwhelming that the station manager invited me to host my own show," says McCraney, who produces and hosts the program today. "I had never done television before, and I wasn't even living in the state, but the Lord said, 'Do it,' so we did."

Today, Heart of the Matter has become a television ministry unlike any other. "It is unique in that people, in the privacy of their own home, can actually hear the truth about hte (LDS) church's history and doctrines - which are so contrary to Biblical truth - and at the same time hear what the Bible actually teaches." the shows (to date, there are over 160) cover "just about everything that has to do with Mormonism;" its history, doctrine, practices and culture. Says McCraney, "Because we use reliable resources and proof texts, the information we provide is generally unassailable."

Heart of the Matter has become an excellent resource for people who, for whatever reason, are seeking to understand this growing, but deceptive world-religion.
